Personality: A little rough around the edges this is a stallion that will need a good bit of training. A good bit wild he has a bad habit of trying to jerk away from his handlers and rushing out of gates. He needs some work when around other horses since he shows some aggression issues, even around mares. However when working in the ring he changes and is a very obedient and elegant mover.
Genetics: EE Aa DD

Kaden's Introduction

“Do you think that you can work with him, Ashelia?” Alida asked her cousin as Roland and Edward struggled to lead the dun-colored assassin stallion out of the trailer. The stallion kept trying to jerk away from the two trainers as they tried to lead him to his pasture. “He seems a bit wild.”

“Should have thought of that before you adopted him,” Ashelia retorted, eyes fixated on the stallion. “Nobody said that you had to bring back three assassin horses from the Ruby Moon Stables celebration, much less one that needs a good deal of work.”

Alida flushed, Ashelia was right, after hiring Roland and getting a few more structures up Alida had gone a bit wild with taking in horses. She took in a hippocampus mare and a young lesser kirin stallion from one stable, an older unicorn stallion from another, and now three assassin horses! Alida had called her sister, Sam, to come in as co-owner to help manage the property and the horses that Blood Moon Stables were taking in, so hopefully nothing as drastic as taking in six horses in only one month’s time would happen again. Avery trotted up behind the two women and nuzzled Alida, breaking her out of her thoughts. Alida smiled; this mare was quite talented at coming around at the right moments.

“They didn’t have owners, and they needed a home,” Alida finally responded. “And you still haven’t answered my question yet.”

Ashelia stood in silence for a few moments, watching the men finally get the stallion into his pasture. The assassin horse ran around the enclosure a few times, seemingly checking the stability of the fencing and the security of the locks on the gates. Miss Aurora had warned that these horses were highly intelligent and that they may get out if the enclosures weren’t secured well enough, but it was another thing altogether watching the assassin stallion actually checking the structure of his pasture. “Yes, I can work with him, but it will take time,” Ashelia replied. She started to walk away before adding, “You may wish to invest in one of those large exercise balls; since he’s by himself in that pasture he may need some stimulation.”

Alida blinked a few times before remembering that Miss Aurora had suggested giving exercise balls to the assassin horses as toys. She had named the stallion Kaden for his fiery spirit at the adoption, excited to bring the assassin horse back with her to Blood Moon Stables. Now she was worried that her enthusiasm may have brought back a bit more than she could chew, but she retained her faith that her cousin would be able to work out his aggression and pulling issues.

Kaden was given the smaller (but still spacious) pasture by the hippocampus enclosure, as per the instructions that assassin stallions were highly territorial and needed their own pens. While far enough away from the other stallion pasture where the lesser kirin and unicorn were, it was fairly close to where Dysis was being kept, and Alida hoped that the energetic mare wouldn’t be able to annoy the stallion. Avery nickered softly, nudging at the bag Alida was carrying. Alida laughed, “Okay, okay, I have an apple for you,” she said, reaching into the bag, “but promise me you won’t go flying into Kaden’s pasture, okay?”
